Encantada Resort is so easy to get to from Orlando International Airport. Simply hop in your rental car and follow 528 west to I-4 West. Keep going and get off at Exit 64 to head west on US-192 for about 5.8 miles. Turn left onto Secret Lake Drive. On the left, you’ll see places like McDonald’s, Houlihan’s, and a 7-Eleven and you’ll know you’ve arrived.
The great location of Encantada Resort means that you never have to go far to get to where you want to go. While you can arrange shuttle service from the clubhouse to the theme parks by making reservations prior to avoid the hassle of parking on theme park property, some guests find that driving to the nearby attractions is easier so they can move on their schedule. The closest attraction to Encantada Resort is Disney World and the other Disney properties at just 4 miles. That means getting there takes just minutes. SeaWorld and Universal are about 10 miles further away than that but still close. You can also ditch Orlando for the day and drive over to Busch Gardens in Tampa. It’s only 66 miles from Encantada Resort and the rides are amazing!
Stock up on what you need during your vacation. Get munchies for the kids, cold drinks for your fridge, pick up a taco kit and make your own taco night, or buy a new swimsuit because you forgot yours. The nearby Publix is great for groceries and trying out the famous Publix subs, a legend among locals, while Super Target and Walmart are also nearby and provide food and sundry items from clothing to games to housewares and everything in between.
While the on-site restaurant, Romy’s, is quite good, you’ll probably want to venture out for some of your meals. With the money you save staying at Encantada Resort, you’ll have plenty extra to treat yourself to a dinner show. Capones, Medieval Times, and Pirates are all incredible dinner shows that the whole family will love. These themed meals keep you entertained while filling you up with delicious food.
Rather not have a show while you eat? Some great restaurants within an 8-mile radius on US-192 are Olive Garden, Joe’s Crabshack, Charlies Steakhouse, and Kobe Steakhouse. If you really want to indulge, don’t miss out on Boston Lobster Feast, just 7 miles from Encantada Resort. If you’d rather have a budget meal with the family, Denny’s, I-Hop and Perkins are all close by too.
Golfing is easy to get to as well. You’ll find Orange Lake Golf Course only one mile away. Falcon Fire and Champions Gate are about 10 miles away, and famed Eagle Creek is a mere 33 miles away. While you’re out golfing, send her shopping at the Premium Outlet to get all those brand names without the big price tag. The Florida Mall and the Mall at Millenia are not much further away than that.
And if you tire of the Disney scene, stop by Wet ‘n’ Wild to cool off on the waterslides for less than the bigger waterparks charge. Get your thrills in Old Town for some rides and fun without the expensive admission ticket. Or head down International Drive, one of the main drags in Orlando, to explore other things like restaurants, shopping, and all kinds of entertainment for all ages.
